It helps when there is good motivation involved, like, say, $$$.
First off, I spent $$$ buying a gym membership. (Thank you to my friends who gave us the gift card for our wedding!) It's easier to go to the gym when you are paying for it. Plus, there's a pool-I LOVE swimming. It was getting too hard, and I was admittedly getting lazy, running the streets around my home. My body just wasn't made for distance or pounding the sidewalk.
Secondly, at work we are doing the Biggest Loser.
$20 buy in
biggest percentage of origanial weigh-in wins
Winner takes Alllllllllllllll!
There's 10+ people doing it, so like 200 bucks?! Whoot! My goal is to lose 15 pounds, that's about 3 pounds a week. If, I mean WHEN, I win I'm going to need a new wardrobe, right? SHOPPING!
Now that is good motivation! :) First thing I am getting is new running shoes so I can keep up my new body.
Third, my dear friend Katt and I both want to lose the same amount and have the same gym membership. It always helps to have a partner to workout with and keep you accountable!
Fourth, I'm going to post at least once a week with updates. Seriously, here I go, I'm going to tell you how much I weigh...
Goal Run Down
Weigh-in weight (7-9-12): 168.8
Weight today: 166.7!
Goal: lose 15+ pounds= 153lbs by August 13
work out 5-6 times a week
Zumba class 2xs per week
cut down on bread, no cereal, more veggies (I already eat a lot of fruit)
healthy rewards: like a protein smoothie after workout
I could really use some encouragement, so...
